As a former preacher's wife, I tend to wonder if he had been abusive to her and/or if he physically or sexually abused their three daughters. Preachers' wives are expected to portray perfection to the public and they have no support at all. A marriage that looks heavenly to outsiders can be a living hell behind closed doors. If Matthew Winkler was a popular preacher in the community and had at least convinced his congregation he was a good man, it will be hard for Mary Winkler to get a fair trial.

My cousin was a ministers wife. She said it was a horrible thing to be. Must always be on display, always on guard to not say the wrong thing. Husband can do no wrong. I am not saying she is automatically not guilty, but there is a good chance her husband pushed her too far.

I think its sad, preacher's wives are put in a fishbowl and expected to act a certain way. We don't know if she was abused or not, it is wrong to assume he abused her. We also don't know if she had a temper and they had a fight and she just lost it.
Whatever the reason, her life is over, she'll go to prison if convicted, and how will her children look at her and know she killed their daddy?
Nancy Grace shouldn't prejudge her. I hope she is able to get a fair trail and I pray that she can find some peace if she killed her husband for a good reason.

No one knows what went on behind closed doors. Let's not judge her in the media.She deserves a fair trail. I am sure she feels her reason was justified. She has to answer to God..
