I recently stumbled into telling my xtian friend that Christianity is a cult. It will come as no surprise to most, that this offended my friend. After a brief moment of reflection, I stood by my statement, but we decided to move on to other topics…

So, I’m really curious, what is it – in your opinion – that prevents your religion from being labeled a cult? I know that religious folk, even xtians, admit that religious cults exist, so what makes your sect of Christianity any different from those you would call a “cult”? (I choose Christianity as an example because of their high level of self-righteousness, but this question goes out to all organized religions, not just xtians).

If you would be so kind, please enlighten me as to why your religion or religious sect should not be looked upon in the same way as what most Americans (or people in the world), xtian or otherwise, would collectively agree upon is a true “cult”.

We've recently seen the news of Imus and in New York trying to ban the N-word. Is there a double standard when it comes to what we say that may be deemed as racial slurs? Were you offended by what Imus said and do you think that banning the N-word will work? Hip hop obviously plays a big influence here.

Should those who are in the public eye (celebrities, news journalists, etc.) be held LEGALLY responsible for their actions that any other joe schmo would only get so much as a verbal reprimand from their peers and not suffer any consequences?

It looks great in Firefox, and terrible in Internet Explorer. Right now, I can get one to look good. If I change any of the command lines it effects one positively and the other gets messed up.

Is there a way to say make firefox read with say margin: -40px;
and not have that for internet explorer or something like that?

I'm a beginner learning HTML and CSS.

What is 3 4/5 / 2 3/8? (simplified). I know you have to turn it into multiplication, doesn't that mean you have to flip them (3 5/4 and 2 8/3?) I got to there, multiplied, and got stuck on the reducing.

Last night my boyfriend suggested I put some sexy lingerie on and although it was pretty late and I was tired, I agreed because we hadn't done anything in a few days. So he went outside to talk to his friend on the phone while I was getting ready. Well, obviously he didn't care that I was waiting for him as he didn't come back until half an hour later. By that time I was really mad because there I am, freezing with almost no clothes on and he's chatting on the phone. And that's not the first time he's done that so I told him I wasn't in the mood anymore and I'd rather just go to sleep.
He got mad and today he doesn't even want to talk to me. Instead of admitting that he ruined our night he makes me feel like I'm the guilty one now.
Ladies, what would you do in my place? What do you think about his behavior?
