It is not that difficult if you have kept all the paperwork. Have a look at the link below and then get the forms (you can download a copy from the site).

There are quite a lot of questions about the building and the materials used in the construction. You then have to list all the invoices, separating those where VAT is shown separately and those which just give an inclusive figure.

Note the time limit for applying. You have to get the documents in within three months of completion.

Ask at your local tax office for advice. My understanding is that you fill in some forms, enclose receipts and wait for your money!
