Heard through the grapevine that a certain home was going to be coming up for sale, so I rushed to buy it because, A. My husband had a childhood dream of living there and, B. I wanted to beat the Realtor and get it cheaper.

Well, the realtor was crying in her beer for the loss of her 15K commission check...all because she bragged too soon. I got a great deal but I quickly realized that his childhood dream was sweet, when he was a child and growing up poor, but that we already owned a house that was 10 times better!

Now we have 2 mortgages and had to spend 20K to remodel the house, because it had a professional office attached to it, and nobody seemed to want that, since it was zoned residential...LOL! So, one would think I could just sell for a profit and move on, right? Well, it's a pricey home in an economically depressed area and homes in this price range just don't move fast.

Now it has an awesome master suite instead, and is about to go back on the market. Hopefully, someone will buy it soon!

Anyone looking for an 18 room, fully restored Victorian in Smalltown, USA? LOL

In hindsight, that was pretty dumb.

A lot of choices, but right now I think it was stepping off a front porch in the dark that was five feet off the ground with no railing, thinking that it was about six inches. That was this past November. The worst part is explaining it to people you know when they ask what happened to your leg.

Edit: No, actually that's not the worst part. The worst part is seeing your foot facing in the entirely wrong direction. But it's still pretty bad.

Probably when I was like 5 years old I was shopping with my mother I slipped away when she wasnt looking and hid inside of a giant rack. She flipped out and the whole store was looking for me. I just sat there watching the whole place go bannanas tryin to find me. Well when I finally popped out and laughed about it, my mother was hardly as entertained as I was. Needless to say after her reaction I realized it was a "dumb thing to do"
