Does anyone know where I can find plumbing regulations for Minnesota? We are putting in a showerhead and sink in the bathroom and need to find out what height to put the pipes.

During a conversation with my University housemates a few weeks ago, a neighbour of ours was mentioned to have had her lesbian girlfriend to come to visit her that day. One of them said that they had seen the two of them kissing each other goodbye which everyone seemed to find quite funny, describing it as "sick". I'm not a lesbian but it still made me feel a bit unformfortable and I must have been frowning because one of them suddenly asked me if I don't like gay people. I'm sure that they think I'm homophobic now but at the time, it seemed like that was what they were being. Do you think that it sounds like they were or am I just taking things too seriously?

This amounts to many thousands of dollars per year in expense to her, although I am never paid any actual money - I just basically live with her for free.

Can she deduct those costs as "nursing care"?

The technology, culture, law and art was created by a minority of exceptional people quite different from most people, not the rabble of which most of us are. Yet we hate anyone who is different or anything innovative and new at first. If those people didn't exist humanity would be still living like most of Africa minus European intervention.

I want to start a garden and possibly grow a couple of pumpkins. (I have a 2.5 year old that loves them). I've heard that growing pumpkins is difficult. I live in New England and I've also heard that it's easier here then in other parts of the country. Anyone have any advice on whether or not I should bother with it.

Some people think suicide is crime. Why is it a crime? Is not it better to end your own life rather than hurting others/yourself? Besides, is not it a good way to cope up with population pressure? I am not advocating suicide as the first or second or third option when your pains (physical/emotional) exceed your resources to cope up with the pains. It should always be THE LAST option. Can anybody give some philosophical reasons why or why not suicide is crime?

yesterday around 6pm my mom called me up hysterical crying saying midnite (our 15 y/o springer) might have had a stroke. she couldnt stand up, he legs went out from under her, her eyes kept rolling back and she just kept looking up at the sky (she's blind tho, so thats kinda what was scarey). of course it's sunday night, and easter, so our vet wasnt open. we had to drive out of town to find an emergancy vet, and by the time i met her there middy was trying to stand up again, but the head and eye things were still going. to make this whole ordeal even scarier, my former dog, smokey, had to be put to sleep 3 years ago when her back legs gave out and she could no longer stand due to degerative mylopethy, 3 years ago this week.
well, low and behold, middy has geriatric vestibular syndrome. which is weird, cause smokey got that about 2 years before she died, and we had never heard of it before then. so i guess my question is, is that common? i mean, smokey was a different breed.

My cat was hit by a car a few days ago and while she didn't break any bones, she tore a ligament (or maybe it's a tendon) in her knee that's causing her a lot of pain. We have the option of putting a splint on it for 6wks or having surgery to repair it. Just wondering if anyone has an experience either way with what our best option would be. They say she might blow out her knee later in life and that she'll have bad arthritis if we don't get the surgery... but it is very expensive. Thanks.
