They refuse to give up their box cutters and nail clippers so the FAA has banned all ostriches from commercial flights.
The really rich ostriches have been seen on private planes and the poor ones of course ride the bus.

Ostriches are direct descendants of those primitive carnivorous birds 65 million years ago, they too didn't fly. If you think about it, why should a squirrel able to fly from tree to tree.
