When I was a kid, I had a friend who's grandmother used to make these.
I remember them being pink, yellow, sometimes blue, and looked exactly like a cracker.
They were delicious!!
Does anyone know what these are called or have a recipe link?

An apple weighs . When you hang it from the end of a long spring of force constant and negligible mass, it bounces up and down in SHM. If you stop the bouncing and let the apple swing from side to side through a small angle, the frequency of this simple pendulum is half the bounce frequency. (Because the angle is small, the back and forth swings do not cause any appreciable change in the length of the spring.)

What is the unstretched length of the spring (i.e., without the apple attached)?


Ive gone through it all 3 times with silghtly different approaches.
I got

L = 4w/k

every time, but that is not correct. I am not sure what I am doing wrong..

Omega_bounce = sqrt(k/m) = 2*pi*f_bounce….solved for frequency of bounce.

f_pendulum = (1/2) f_bounce …. Solved for f_pendulum

omega_pendulum = 2*pi*f_pendulum = sqrt(g / L)….solved for L

Any Suggestions?

I love how some people are taking a stand to the disgustingly thin models and I hope that it makes a global change soon. But on one of the episodes of The Tyra Show, she was having 'America's Next Top PLUS Model' with woman over 200lbs. People are saying to embrace our beauty and take ouselves as we are, but for those woman who are over 200 pounds (Who are as beautiful as anyone else) and are at an unhealthy weight should do something about it. Always recpect your body and YES tell yourself you are beautiful because you are. But I think the proper phrase should be 'Do the best you can do for yourself' treat your body with care. You can be thick and sexy, but it isn't the healthiest choice.

Okay, for school, we had this thing called, "College Week" okay. And on one day of that week, we had "career day", so we had to dress up as what you wanted to be when you grow up. I dressed up as an ECHOCARDIOGRAPHER. Does anybody but me know what this is? Because everytime someone asked me what I was, I said, "An Echocardiographer"
"What's that?" was what they said back to me.
I mean, I guess I'm more intelligent than most people, and I'm in 6th grade!!!(7th when the school year ends)
I mean, even some kids in HIGHSCHOOL didn't know what that was!!! WEIRD!!!

My sister is 23 and gets horrible migraines about 1-2 per wk. She's lost 2 jobs already because of it and she's afraid she'll get fired again from her current position. Her doctor keeps giving her meds but they don't cure the problem. She has an anxiety disorder and she started getting migraines after her heart surgery last Feb. Any advice?
