jack's grossly overweight, wearin a wife-beater and stubble, sittin in a recliner with a beer and spewing crap about he used to be a highschool football hero. diane's in the kitchen with scraggly hair, baby on hip, and cigarette danglin from mouth, cookin up grilled cheese sanniches for the 3rd time that week.

That song made no sense to me when I was a kid. My mom is Diane, and my father's brother was Jack.
So to answer your Q, mom is at her place in the disabled/elder complex, and Jack is probably at his house with his 2nd wife, or off visiting her kids in CT for the holiday weekend.
