Did Jesus claim, according to those who knew Him, to be the Son of God? If so, was Jesus lying, were they lying, or was Jesus telling the truth? If Jesus was lying, then He could not have been a prophet. Prophets of God do not lie. If His disciples were lying, what reasons did they have to lie? What did they gain?
I know these are a lot of questions, but I'm just wondering what peoples' take on this is. And please, no "it's all a fairy tale" type of answers! There is plenty of evidence outside of the Bible that suggests that a man named Jesus did live, and He did have disciples.
Mainly, this question is for Muslims to consider, but I wouldn't mind hearing from Christians as well.
I will most likely be adding details as I receive answers, so please be sure to check back in.
