Even though it was written five hundred years after his death?
(will be adding details, I'm trying to make a point.)

The whole point was-and I'm disappointed that there were only two answers, but not really surprised-that most people accept the general details of the history of Alexander, though it was written five hundred years after the fact, yet they doubt the accounts whose authors claimed to be eyewitnesses, and whose origins date back to within fifty years, of Jesus. I think I'll ask this in a different way at a later date. I'm going to put this question up for vote, since I wasn't able to get to my point.

The general outline is accepted. As for attention to detail, there are many points of debate. And I am even now envisioning your point.

Alexander conquering the known world is historically accurate, but as far as personal details, I would say its mostly speculation. Why did he die so mysteriously in his 33rd year? Was it a pysical condition, or was he murdered by a trusted confident? We may never know.
Some thought he was a "saviour", a lot thought he was a terrorist who imposed his government on the known world.
I hope I'm not the only one who answered your question. Your making a point sounds kind of scary, me bad?
