I strongly recommend going directly with Disney or your travel agent to get the ticktes, for several reason.

1). Disney tickets now expire 14 days after the first use, this means that, unless the no-expiration option is added on, the tickets will be no good several weeks or years down the road, but for the next 14 days. Most people don't purchase the no-expiration option, but people will still sell the tickets online that they have used, so you are basically buying an empty ticket.

2). Even if you are getting a ticket that still has days left on it, the tickets are non-transferable. Once you use your ticket the first time, you scan your fingers into a biometrics system so that only you can use that ticket. If you go to the park and use someone elses ticket, you will have to proove that you actually are the person on the ticket, or you will have to buy a new ticket.

3). Aside from the tickets just being a scam and you getting nothing for the money you spend, a lot of what you will find online is going to be a timeshare deal. Basically, you sit through a presentation, usually several hours long, and they will either give you free tickets or a lower rate, or something like that. This is not something I really suggest doing, but if you don't mind it, then it is a good way to get some free tickets.

When you are in Orlando, if you wait to buy your tickets, there will still be a lot of places advertising lower cost tickets. Most of these will be scams or the timeshare deal.

If you buy your tickets from Disney, or a TA, you will get an advance purchase savings. It isn't a huge savings, but it is something. The longer your pass is, the lower your cost is per day, and you can get them for around $30, plus any add ons you do. So, Disney does offer some pretty good rates for tickets.

Finally, AAA would be another option. I believe you have to do a 2 or 3 day pass before they offer any savings, however. If you are not a member, make sure you check how much you would actually save and what the cost of membership is. The savings may not be good enough to buy the membership and still save.

Personally, I always book a package with Disney, just so I can ge the dining plan. I go to Disney enough that I could get an AP and be done with it, but I like the dining plan so much I just buy my tickets each time (even though I could have my AP and just buy a one day base to get the dining) So, if you will be staying onsite, look into doing a package. The dining plan can save you 40% off of your food, it is a really great deal and you get a lot of food.

we went with summer bay resorts (they have a website)
we paid 15 dollars per night in advance and then 6 dollars per night once we got there for a resort fee. you get 3 nights in a holiday in express and 2 free tickets (one day passes)to disney worldThen we had to put up with a 2 hour tour/sales presentation. (talk about high pressure) but then they gave us our tickets and we were done. the hotel was nice and clean and it is on the property of the resort so you get to use the hot tub and the hotel has a heated pool and continental breakfast and it's only 10-15 minutes away from disneyworld
it's a great deal just dont buy into the timeshare thing they are unsellable without a huge loss
michelle
ps when we were there we also went to the arabian knights dinner show (which you can buy for 25 dollars just ask around and refuse to pay more than that)and it was totally awesome well worth it food is like a bad night at dennys but the show is fabulous
pps-when at disney beware that the fast passes run out for some of the more popular rides(like soarin' @ epcot) ask somebody who works there so you dont have to wait in line for an hour. also you can only have one fast pass at a time and if you get one for a really popular ride you might have to wait all day befor yoour window to ride

pps

AAA offers the best WDW ticket discounts. You must be a member and they require a 3 day or longer ticket purchase in order to receive their discount. You can also purchase from your local Disney store. The discount isn't very much, but it is still cheaper than purchashing directly through Disney or at the gate and it is still a legitimate purchase. Avoid timeshare presentations and be leary of Ebay.
Best of luck!

We bought our tickets through WWW.mapleleaftickets.com
That was the cheapest way to buy them including tax without having to go through all the bs of a timeshare thing. You can pick all your options like the park hopper and the nonexpiration. We did the park hopper and no expiration and bought 10 days tickets so we can go back in the future and not have to worry about buying tickets. The nice thing about the park hopper is that you can go to more than one park a day but it only counts as one day off your ticket. So we hopped around and also saved days there so next time we go we can hop again and possibly still have days left over to go a third time without having to buy tickets. Good luck and have a good time!

If you are a Florida Resident, check out their site. They always have deals. Go off-Season also. The previous postings about going with Disney or AAA are the safest bet. They are secure tickets, and you can avoid the timeshare deal. Disney is not cheap anyway.

AAA is about the cheapest. Only a couple of bucks you will save. Time Sharing is NOT the way to get tickets. 4-6 hours of being trapped and listening to their sales pitches is not worth it.

There are timeshare companies in Orlando that will give you free tickets to Disney, but you have to suffer through their sales pitch first.
