Yes, this is true! They're sold exclusively at Steve & Barry's, a store that specializes in low-cost college wear. I was intrigued, so I went out and bought a pair. Needless to say, I can see why they're $15. They are the most UNCOMFORTABLE sneakers I ever wore in my life! They felt like boots the couple of times that I DID wear them.
