This morning, the first prayer ever by a Muslim cleric in the Texas Senate will be delivered by the Imam Yusuf Kavakci of the Dallas Central Mosque at the invitation of state Sen. Florence Shapiro, R-Plano. (Articles I have found make note that Shapiro is Jewish.) Some Christians find this to be inappropriate because it is holy week. However, the reason for the Imam leading the opening prayer is because it is the (3rd) Texas Muslims Legislative Day. Why cannot these people understand that it is appropriate for this reason?

I like to sit when i ride the train. Would i gain muscle or burn more calories if i just stand. or if i had a teaching or department store job where i am forced to stand instead of a desk job? what is the benefit in standing?

When we were looking for a coach 2 years back,BCCI then formed a committee consisiting of sunil Gavaskar,Ravi Shastri,Venkatragavan,Jagmohan dalmiya who actually selected Greg Chappel as coach among others with the backing of then captain Sourabh ganguly.Sp these people are also to be blamed for their wrong choice or probabaly they didint communicate to Greg chappel about their expectations,about indian players or indian cricketing scenario?And the funny part is these same people are again selected to deciede the future of indian cricket

Several years ago my uncle died. He left quite a coin collection--not in any order-just gobs of coins. My aunt knows nothing about coin collecting or what to do with the coins--and neither do I. I have noticed so many people get so negative and judgmental with those seem like they are doing this whole mommy thing for the first time. If someone is lost in this wonderful yet very confusing world of parenting and are reaching out for help, shouldn't we be more understanding and loving. I mean they just want to do what is best for their babies or else they wouldn't be asking. Being a new mommy can be very hard, and I don't think that they need all the veteran mommies yelling at them and belittling them. There is lots of information out there in the world and lots of it is bad information. Shouldn't be giving out information about love and caring for your baby in a loving and caring manner?

If you believe in evolution, aren't you saying that what the bible says about creation, is a lie? And if so, why follow what you consider a lie.

Evolution has not been proven... it is a theory as vague as many believe the beliefs of believers are.

Please don't be deceived. Jesus has warned us against this.

It wasn't his character to do that. He witheld the information and I found out about it on an A.T.M. reciept. He said he used the money to loan his coworkers for them to get a lapdance. Him and his friends are all in their fifties. Prior to this incident we discused him staying out of those places. I am hurt over this . We always seemed to have the best relationship, and a great sex life.The girls in the stripclub are young , and beautiful. how can a woman my age compete with that. I work out at the gym, but I'm older. the women at the stripclub are younger than my daughters., and we have grandaughters.What does this say to me? We are in a second marriage. He said that his coworkers forced him to go. We did get some counseling over it, but it still has made me look at him differenly. I feel cheated on.....because he wasn't honest, it makes me wonder if he has done other things behind my back..... I was out of town when he went. I am so suspicious now. how do other older women feel?

I was involved in a car accident over the weekend. A lady coming south made a left turn while I am driving north and I tried to save both of us from the collision, but finally I hit a traffic pole. My car was damages by the passenger side. The police was right there and saw everything. However the lady drove off from the scene. The police wrote how the accident happened on the accident report. Nothing happened to traffic pole except scratches. My insurance company is fixing my car. I have never had any accident prior to this neither speeding thicket. Do you think this will be seen as my fault? Also, I have some minor pain in my back and jaw after the accident, but I am afraid my insurance company will raise my rate if I go to the doctor. Could any one advice me what to do.

Here is why:

The purpose of the Iraq invasion was not to liberate anyone or fight any kind of terrorists. Those were all pretenses sold to the stupid American public.

The purpose of the Iraq invasion was to give US oil firms access to Iraqi oil fields. Iraq has the world's 2nd largest oil reserves.

The reason troops are needed is to protect supply lines & allow the oil firms to pump while the troops protect their equipment. Of course, about half of the troops are sent to Baghdad and other places to "fight terrorists" so the news media have something to write about.

There are two reasons gasoline is at almost $3 a gal.

1. It keeps our "Allies" such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Yemen etc. happy and quiet. They know Bush is pumping and essentially stealing Iraqi oil. But they keep quiet because they're now making twice as much money on oil than they were pre-Iraq invasion when gas was at $1.50 a gal.

2. Bush is raping the American public. Oil profits flow in his secret accounts.
