Global warming is a fact. Glaciers are melting, average temperatures are rising, and we are facing a serious problem.
Now, is it caused (or accelerated) by man-made pollution and industry? That is hard to say for sure. The fact is - it has become politicized, so of course - you bring 'proof' that global warming either isn't happening, or isn't being caused or added to by humans. Meanwhile, everyone else (including the vast majority of the scientific community) brings 'proof' that it is indeed happening, and it is being exacerbated by human activity.
You believe what you choose to believe.
Again, global warming is a fact.
The question is, can we do anything to stop or slow it?

Of course I do believe in man made global warming.
I wound up in the E.R. the other day after breathing the air in the aftermath of the brush fires near Universal Studios in California.
I was suffering from acute shortness of breath brought on by the poor air quality.
Just think how much worse it can be when there are big oil refineries pumping out emissions, by the tons, 24/7, along with all the cars in America putting around spewing out pollutants into America's air.
If you don't believe in global warming, may I suggest sitting on top of a lit chimney for a few hours & see what happens?

fact: CO2 levels are up for some reason and elevated CO2 levels help keep the heat from escaping to space.
Fact: Humans are burning 80 million barrels of oil each and every day. Fossil fuel energy is over and above the sun's input to our planet. those 336,000,000,000,000 extra BTUs are trapped here.
All the thermodynamics I learned in engineering school tends to point toward some man-made influence.

I feel so dirty! should I link up Gore's movie just to balance your propaganda?? :P
there's no doubt that we can contribute.. the question is how much we are contributing.. not if.. .. if we are only 0.00000001% of the problem then there's no need to change our lifestyle right? but if we are a significant amount of the problem then there is... my point is there is nothing but good that can come from researching new technology.. so why not do the responsible thing.. just in case... and advance science at the same time!

It seems like a big waste of time and energy to spend your life crusading against something that doesn't exist.
(To be clear: I'm talking about the person who asked this question. If global warming doesn't exist, why get upset about it?)

No. The methane from herds of pigs and cows does more damage than we do. Carbon dioxide does absolutely nothing to the atmosphere; it's existed in high amounts for thousands of years. Also, our planet goes through natural warming and cooling cycles. We're actually about to hit a cool spot. Earth has equilibrium: it'll shift to the warm or cold side periodically, but it evens itself out.

Yes I believe humans cause more CO2 in the environment. I dont think trees and animals cause any affects to make the amount of CO2 to rise so dramatically. You should really use your common sense. Dont get your information from youtube.

There is no argument against man-made global warming. The only argument is to what extent it can be caused in relation to natural global warming.
