Calculus: Exploring a graph confusion.?

Although i know how to find maxs and mins, i can't put this one together.

Here's the question:
Explore the behavior of the graph of p(x) = ax^4 - 6x^2 for various values of a. use a graphing calculator to view the graph of this polynomial for a few sample values like a = -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3.

A) how do i prove that y = p(x) has a relative maximum for all values of the constant a.

Looking at the samples, they all share a maximum at (0,0) but how do i prove this?

B) Determine analytically the values of a for which y = p(x) has at least one relative MINImum.

C) Let (x,y) be a relative extremum of p(x). Show that (x,y) also lies on the graph of y = -3x^2

C completely confuses me.

If you can help me atleast get started and set up how to find the answer for A and B, and show me how to do C. I will be pleased.

Moving to New York for Graduate school any advice on surviving the big city?

I will be moving to Manhattan , New York in July of this year , does anyone have any survival advice?I am 26 and have lived in San Francisco for many years, how ever, I understand New York is very different. I am curious to know about good places to live or find a room , NY etiquete, dating, who to trust.....all the secrets that only a New Yorker would know. Thanks for the guidance.

Please answer this, more targeted at married couples, 5 or more years together:?

My daughter's father owes 4+ years in child support, how does that go, if you are overdue like that? Next, i DON"T speak to him because:1) he just got married,(i met the fiance')I do it for respect. 2)I called his home, she picked up the phone and cursed me out, I just called to inform him about his daughter, (I DO NOT have feelings for him, He is 10 years older than me, i'm 27),, which we went 2 court and he did not exercise his opportunity 2 get visitation, etc....I think the wife had something 2 do with that...This is his only child....He takes care of her kids, why would a man do that????? But his mother wants to meet our daughter(her first and only grandchild).........What do I do????PLEASE HELP!!!!
