depends on what conclusions they come up with.
obviously children are ignorant on many levels. before i go on you should know that the term "ignorant" isnt meant to be an insult. it means they lack knowledge on a specific subject.
example: im ignorant when it comes to mollecular biology. does that mean im stupid? no. it means i lack the knowledge on the subject.
i think that may be your problem....
and no the child isnt ignorant (the insult) or illogical. although many children ARE illogical on many things. they sumply havent gained the knowledge to make an educated conclusion on a certain subject, whatever that may be.
so basically no, we atheists dont see children as stupid, evil things. you christians do though. achild cant be born without you people insisting it has "orogonal sin" and is destined to hell if it isnt "saved"

Ignorance is inevitable, and we never really grow out of it...
"There has been an alarming increase in the number of things I know nothing about."
And children rapidly develop logic. Make two statements that are inconsistent and watch them pounce on them. It doesn't need to be introduced formally, only refined.
I could see internal difficulties within Christianity before I'd ever really heard of atheism. About the age of 12, I suppose. Admittedly Christianity wasn't well-presented or even understood at my childhood church.
(what came of that is a long story)

OK so an atheist is someone who doesn't believe in any God. Wouldn't a child automatically be atheist unless changed by someone who did believe in God? This question makes no sense.

Nope..kids only become ignorant and illogical when their parents brainwash them into believing in silly infantile god fantasies.
