1 - Syria doesn't want to close it's borders to terrorists, the Syrian government is all for terrorists passing through their country to get into Iraq and Israel.
2 - Syria doesn't have the same problem that we do, people WANT to come to our country to suckle on the teet of freedom and prosperity. You'll never find anyone saying that about Syria.
3 - Syria is a barbaric state. You don't have to worry about things like due process of law and human rights when your police and military and government officials are never held accountable for any crimes they commit.

Yo dude,may I suggest you measure the distance of each country border and revisit this question again.Dah!!!!!The reason we cannot control our borders is because the frigging laws are not enforced.Both parties are to blame.As for syria,they have no intention of closing the border-how else could they get all the weapons into Iraq?Super dah.............

Syria was right when they said that about our borders.
America can't close our borders and stop people. So if we can't....it's hard to tell the Syrians to shut their borders.
