Honey you can do what ever you want to do! Some people would say that if you aren't going with a guy then what would be the point. But if you want to wear one then go ahead and please yourself and don't worry what anyone else says. It's your big night and you should enjoy yourself.

If you would like to wear a garter then by all means do so, might just meet a man at the prom to give the garter to later.

why would you wear a garter to prom? Are you talking about a garter belt with stockings? Or like the garter a woman wears on her wedding day? The garter with stocks is somewhat appropriate, but the garter on one leg, would just be weird. I usually only associate those with women getting married.
