Compute the future value at the end of the year 32 of $150 deposited every month for 22 years (with the first deposit made one month from today) into an account that pays 6 percent p.a. with semi-annual compunding.

OK...here is where I'm stumped. I understand that this is a 2 part question...the first part being an ordinary annuity for 22 years and the second part being a future value of a lump sum for 10 years. It is the ordinary annuity that is troubling me.

Here is what I entered in my finance calculator:

N=44 (22 years * 2 as the interest is compounded semi-annually)
PMT=150 * 6 = 900 (monthly payment * 6 as this is compounded only every six months so we are indiffernet between paying 150 a month or 900 every 6 months)
I/Y=3% (6p.a. / 2 as it is semi-annually compounded)
FV=?
Computed FV = 80,143.56820

Is this accurate or did I put the wrong information in for N and I/Y?

I admit, I was oblivious to his music before I saw "Walk the Line" but now I'm a devoted fan. Course, now he's dead...but his legend lives on....

You know the guy who did Saving Private Ryan, Natural Born Killers and the VH1 Celebreality Special Shooting Sizemore? Last I checked of the Shooting Sizemore series, the season was incomplete and it didn't show if he won his case against Heidi Fleiss' charges and etc. IF HE DID, what was the month and day and what was the cause for the death? Was it captured on TV by accident via a something he did on his show or was he found dead in his home in private due to an OD or heart failure? I just wanted to know.

My son just turned 19, he recently disclosed his newest girlfriend to us. One problem, she is 19. Her daddy is a cop and has VERY old fashioned values regarding his daughter. I expressed concern in the event their might be a sexual relationship since my son has been very sexual with his past girlfreinds. Anyhow, my son who is a GREAT actor, for real as he is in drama, told me her family REALLY likes him. They just love him he states. Sure, the "actor" version. My son is a biut perverted like I suppose all 19 year old males are. I don't feel good about this as I know what her dad will do, WHEN, not if they have sex.

What are my options here?

Should I kick my son out of the house?

Should I stay out of it and just issue a warning?

Any advise on this is appreciated.

I'm in my twenties, 5'9 and have a 38D chest... and it is a pain; back pains, sleeping is awkward, they are sore a lot, I'm always self conscious, people stare, I find it hard to exercise, and so on... But I'm terrified of having surgery of any sort, especially cosmetic surgery that is not vitally important... my question is, are the benefits of the surgery worth going through something so intrusive + painful? Or are there alternatives to the surgery? I'm a little bit overweight but not enough to be considered "overweight"; if I lose a great deal of weight, is it likely that a large portion of that weight will be lost from my chest? or does that weight tend to stick?

I'm confused, obviously, because I think life would be easier with a reduction, but I am impressed with those that endure the surgery because it seems like such a painful and difficult thing to go through...
is it a very invasive surgery?
really any information would be greatly appreciated!

Can anyone explain how Paul's theology of faith alone saves us seemingly contradicts James' faith+works=salvation kind of theology. It seems strange to put human works in with God's grace? Any serious thoughts would be appreciated.

If so, you probably listen to Rush Limbaugh, Shawn Hannity or Michael Savage.
You're more likely a male between 35 and 55 with at least a high school diploma and a few years of college. Your income is between $30,000 and $60,000 a year. You voted republican in 2004. You are more likely to be conservative than moderate. You watch Fox news rather than CNN and get some of the news off the internet. Your favorite sport is football.

Does this sound like you, Dittoheads?
