It is ok for you to hate Harry Potter. Everyone has an opinion.

To Kill A Mocking Bird is ok for adults too. Ophra recommended it.

A Wrinkle in Time is good but Sylvia Louise Engdahl's Enchantress From the Stars is way better.

Hatchet is good. All of Gary Paulsen's stuff is good.

I haven't read Flush or Emma-Jean Falls out of a Tree.

You should also read Uglies, Pretties and Specials by Scott Westerfeld. It is about a world where all 16 year olds get an operation to look pretty. Too bad it generally makes them dull and non challenging to the government. Read about those that fight the system.

What the hell is your question then! Its more like a statement. I Love Harry Potter! ( read A child called "it" if you want a good book to read you won't be able to put it down.) ( by Dave Pelzer) There is no age limit's on books. just what age it's recommended for.

The books you listed are okay, but no they're not great. I recommend you read these:
Twilight - Stephenie Meyer
Ender's Game - Orson Scot Card
Sloppy Firsts - Megan McCafferty

Well, apparently, I outgrew How To Kill A Mocking Bird. Thanks for the heads-up, otherwise I could've made the mistake of picking it up. Heh.
