In your opinion why does it appear that American Christianity has become the love child of Capitalism, individualism and greed. I have purused the ghettos of Christian television and have become appalled at the heresy.

Prosperity Preachers like Creflo Dollar, Jamal Bryant, Keneth Hagin, Oral Roberts and Fred Price and etc depict God as a grand slot machine; If you tithe to the church GOD will bless you with a Benz, Bentley, new house, car and more bling bling.

It seems that the thesis of there message is that to have those things are a sign of divine blessings and favor. DOES THIS POP-CULTURAL MESS BOTHER ANYONE BUT ME??????

Does it even bother anyone that these beautiful celebraty preachers who dress like characters on soap operas are not even smart and do not have earned accredidated degrees? Can't congregants make a case to sue them for spiritual malpractice? I think the gospel that they preach is the equavelant of spiritual homocide. (murdering the spiritually weak)

I am in a relationship and recently accepted Jesus into my heart. My question is this, if we have had sex before this change in my life, should I stop doing it? I'm a student-intern in the biggest oil refinery for a major oil company. My internship will last for 6 months, as part of my final year for my diploma. Since i took civil & environmental engg, i was posted under the environmental department, and then they told me the projects i have to do for the time i'm here.They made me take a compulsory course so that i can be allowed clearance to the refinery for my project.
The sad thing is, my supervisor went on maternity leave, a week after i came in, and i was put under another person...which is another blow coz he's always busy, with meetings and all... so i had to do 'desk duty' but i'm a hands-on kind of person...i got nothing at hand to work with..he didn't tell me where i can get the information i need, and when i ask him, he'll say 'i'll get back to you later' which he didn't till today...i feel out of place and half of the time, i'm 'lost' and i don't think they take me seriously (being 19)
so anyone have any advice regarding this?

My friend is a divorced woman with two small children. My friend's ex-husband gets the children every other weekend. The ex-husband is engaged to be married next month. They just had his wedding shower last week. My friend and her ex-husband are sleeping together. He calls her on the phone, and he comes to her house. He is the one who iniciates everything.

My friend and I disagree on this situation. I feel that she is as much to blame on the cheating as he is, but she says no. She sees no fault where she is concerned. My friend knows that her ex is getting married next month and knows this girl is planning a wedding. I feel sorry for the fiancee, and my friend says she does to. But it still does not stop her from letting him in the house and sleeping with him. Yes my friend says she still loves him and wants to be with him, but he has told my friend that he IS going to marry this other girl.

Is my friend innocent, or is she just as guilty as her ex?

I saw one for sale that they said they only used for a few months. Is it a bad idea to buy used? My boyfriend wants a tank, but I don't want to spend too much money on it right now. But we argue about if a used one would cost more in the long run if it kills the fish.

I have a projector for my home, with 2000 Lumens, 6000:1 contrast, 720p (native) and a greywolf 1.8 gain grey screen. It's Fantastic for day time viewing, but at night I can see the Silk Screen Effect (SSE). Those crystal like images that some of us unlucky ones notice. I was thinking about a second screen being matte white, but I noticed that I was loosing a little detail. However, the viewing angle is MUCH better for those viewing from the sides? Anythoughts? Basically I was thinking that if they made a grey matte screen that might be the bast idea...but I wasn't too sure if the loss of setail was the matte, or the color of white?
