There are two that come to mind. But, they are not sad, they just express so well, what love really is! The first is called Tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree! The part that always brings tears to my eyes, is the very last part, when all the people started cheering. The second is a song called, calling all angels, that plays at the very, very ending of Pay it Forward, when that line of candlelight is stretching for miles. *sm*

Yes....there are a few, but I will say...Sugar on the floor...by Etta James....significance is how a person can feel as if they are no more important than sugar on the floor...but how they realize this is not so...thru their belief in God..it is one of the most beautiful songs...and I can relate...I have had times I felt like that.

Alissa Lies-that country song grabs me by the heart strings every time i hear it.
No special significance for me personally, but I just
can imagine and feel how horrible that situation would
be for my child and myself if I were told, and did
nothing to act upon it, with that being the end result.
Just sad,,,,,,,,,
Or Baby you saved me, by Kenny Chesney,,,my sweetie
says it makes him think of me,,,
when i hear it, it makes me cry because it is SO
sweet that someone loves me like THAT!!!!
I feel blessed!

Several...The first that comes to mind is "Cant smile without you" Barry Manilow.
2 years ago I lost my 15 year old Golden Retreiver to Cancer. After Chemo, I sang the song to him. I have now been abvle to listen all the way through since.

Well it won't bring me to tears, but "When I'm Gone" by Eminem is such a depressing and disturbing sort of song....one just has to listen to the lyrics

most of the time none are. i don't cry over songs. except if it's like the day before i'm about to get my period, then just about anything sad can do it.

"If you get there before I do"
I read a note my grandma wrote back in 1923
Grandpa kept it in his coat and he showed it once to me
He said boy you might not understand
But a long, long time ago
Grandma's daddy didn't like me none
But I love your grandma so
We had this crazy plan to meet
And run away together
Get married in the first town we came to and live forever
But nailed to the tree where we were supposed to meet instead
I found this letter
And this is what it said
If you get there before I do
Don't give up on me
I'll meet you when my chores are through
I don't know how long I'll be
But I'm not gonna let you down
Darling wait and see
And between now and then ‘til I see you again
I'll be loving you, love me
I read those words just hours before my grandma past away
In the door way of a church
Where me and grandpa stopped to pray
I know I'd never seen him cry in all my 15 years
But as he said these words to her
His eyes filled up with tears
If you get there before I do
Don't give up on me
I'll meet you when my chores are through
I don't know how long I'll be
But I'm not gonna let you down
Darling wait and see
And between now and then ‘til I see you again
I'll be loving you, love me
Between now and then ‘til I see you again
I'll be loving you, love me
