Shorely he has to earn respect from his peers if he wants to be a leader in his role as an Officer and a Gentleman. He cannot keep saying that he works hard and has to play hard. Respect has to earned not taken for granted.

We are behind a few months on council tax - we don't qualify for any discounts even though my wife is on Incapacity Benefit and I have a low-income part time job and we have two children under the age of 3.
We make payments when we can, and as much as we can, but they don't give a crap.

Some debt collection company has sent us a letter saying they will come round and take things even in our absence. Is this legal?

First let me be upfront about the fact that I have not read this book. I have read a lot about the book though. Most likely it is not right for me to give an opinion on a book I have not read and it is very possible that I have the wrong idea about this book, but here we go anyway. From all I have read about this big “Secret” I see one main flaw. It has people shining like a sun instead of shining like a moon. Let me explain. I believe it is wonderful for us to want to shine. As a follower of Christ, I understand we were created to shine and to walk in glory for all to see. To many times we get caught up in talking about how bad we are as sinners and though it is true we are all sinners by nature, it is also true that we created and meant to shine. I also believe in the power of our words and a positive mind-set. The Bible does back this up by teaching us that we have not because we ask not and ask and you shall receive. So why then do I not want to throw all my chips into The Secret? The flaw that I see in what this book is advocating is that YOU can get what YOU want as long as YOU change the way YOU think and YOUR attitude. You, you, you, you! It seems all about you and you are the source for your life! That is a scary thing for us all to buy into. But you say that is sounds like the same thing as “ask and you shall receive”? Maybe on the outset but the main difference between the two is that the Bible teaches that WE are not the source of what we receive. The Father gives us this shine, it is not our own. We should shine, but like the moon and not as a sun. The moon at times shines so bright that you would think it has its own source of power. It does not. Its shine is only a reflection of the Sun. Without the Sun there can be no shine for Mr. Moon. From what I have read about this book, it has many moons walking around thinking they are the Sun. And from what I understand, that many Suns running around will only lead to one thing… destruction! That many Suns around will end up burning us all to the ground. When you shine like a sun you think like a sun. You think the universe revolves around you instead of seeing yourself as just a part of the bigger picture. If we all walk around with the universe revolving around ourselves just wanting what we want and taking all the credit for it, we are bound to crash into one another. As well, if all of us are running around believing that we hold the power on our own and are not humble but instead just worrying about being self serving, we have missed the point of life. Friends, there is no “Secret” here; it has been out for 2,000 years! I do agree that if you ask you shall receive. But do not forget the conditions that are stated in the Bible before that statement is made. It starts by stating that if you keep Christ in your heart and then ask, you shall receive. Because then you know you should not get the glory for what you have received, He does! So I say shine! But when you’re shining remember your source and He is no secret. I love you all. I'd just like a guy's opinion on this before I actually do it and potentially make a fool of myself. There's this guy I like, let's call him A, and I know he likes me too. We're pretty close and in my opinion, neither of us wants to jeopardize what we've got by getting into a relationship.

Well, there's something I really want to tell him but I don't know if it's a good idea or whether he'd get what I'm trying to hint if I send this song to him. It's a song called "Obvious" by Westlife. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the words, please do me a favour and search for the lyrics. I wanted to attach them but I don't have enough space to do so.

Okay, so here's the question. If a girl friend of yours, someone you've known pretty well for the past 6 years, suddenly sends you this song (or the lyrics) what would you make of it? Would you get the hint?

I just want to know what you guys would think before I actually go ahead with it and possibly fall flat on my face. Thanks!!

My son is 11 and he threw up twice last night and once this morning. I'm not sending him to school, but I have to work today. I don't want to leave him home by himself either. I just started this new job a week ago and I don't want to start calling in already. I don't know what to do. Call my work and see if I can bring him? I don't want others to get sick too. I work as a housekeeper in a motel. Not sure if the manager would let me bring him and let him have a room while I was working. I'm afraid to ask something like that since I just started. I don't have any neighbors I trust or any family close by either. What do I do??

I recently got a freelance job designing a new logo for this woman's new company. i use a freelance job posting site, and all legal problems should be covered by them. well, it was my first job and wanted to make a good impression, and i missed a step in the process where the employer must deposit the pro's (me) fee into an escrow account until the job is complete. I didn't know this and did the design work as stated in my contract agreement with this woman. she went ahead and hired another pro for the same job and paid them for the work done. she's left me high and dry, and since she never deposited my fee into the escrow acct. the website company has no legal standing, other than to delete this woman's account which she could resign up for with a co-worker's name or something. i've sent her numerous emails and still no answer in almost 2 weeks. now i'm ready to send her one last message. what would you say that would be firm yet not in-your-face aggressive?

I was carrying on with a friend when I fell and twisted my knee. I cant fully straighten it or bend it. It is sore all of the time and it is really swolen and bruised. I cant put any weight on it without it hurting. Should I go to Hospital? I am always really busy and dont have time to go to hospital.
