Hi!

every charity shop I walked past had old computers in the windows, really cheap too! if you don't want to walk around all the shops just look in yellow pages under charity shops & ask them. I'm sure you'll get one! : ) I'm in the UK tho??

I've answered this before, these over answers might help you too ....

When my son wanted to build a PC for his sister, he went to the car boot sales and found everything he needed very cheaply. Do you have any near you that you could go and look round. If not have you tried the local free papers, they sometimes advertise cheap computer parts.

Buy a copy of Micro Mart computer magazine, from any good newsagent. It only costs £1.99 and they have classified ads in the back. You can buy software, hardware in fact just about anything computer related. It's also a good read if you are into building modding or just want to learn a bit more about your computer. Hope this helps.

Go on E-Bay (Want It Now) advertise for the item/model etc you want and wait for someone to contact you with the Bits. Otherwise I agree with the other answers eg Jumble sales, Boot Sales, Local Tip or friends who may be dumping their old computer. Good Luck!!!

You could try googling "police auctions" as well as auctioning off / selling, unclaimed stolen goods , their own PCs , office equipment etc are also renewed and the old ones sold off. The same goes for Health authorities and local councils.
