Definitely Christian Bale.
Adam West was such a terrible actor, I actually laugh watching him play Batman, and it wasn't even supposed to be funny.

I think Michael Keaton. Val and George was to "Hollywood" but Christian Bale was too dark (which I understand that was the point) I just liked watching Michael more.
I was too young for Adam West althought he is pretty cool in the Simpsons

Christian Bale. Although it could be because Christopher Nolan breathed new life into the francise after Joel "Hello I killed the Batman Franchise" Schumacher.
But Batman Begins rocked like Gibraltar!

Bale was remarkable but we have to take into effect that when he took on the role the cgi graphics and all that was way better so it was way easier for him to be very good.
I would have to say as for the originals the true batman would have to be michael keaton...He did great.

I liked Michael Keaton. I thought that Adam West was a conceited nit wit. I don't
think that I saw any of the others as Bat Man.

I like them all EXCEPT for George...HE WAS AWFUL!
I'll go with Michael being my favorite though, with Bale a close second.
