I had an interesting class during my culture and society class. We watched this short film where a really young guy kissed this really old lady. Everyone was like Ewwwww. So my lecturer said its the society that made us who we are. The soceity can't accept it when a woman dates younger man but they do accept man dating younger girls. I am curious. What do you guys think.

Over the past 2-3 years, I have done a lot of damage to my hair. Between coloring and blow drying, they have done quite a number on my hair, and made it very dry and unmanagable. I have tried many types of shampoos, with no signifigant changes. My hair is pretty long, about halfway down my back, so brushing it tends to be a hassle as well. So far I have tried Garnier Fructis, Dove, Sunsilk, and I am now trying Pantene. If the kind I bought does not help, I am planning to get the time renewal. I would like to know, however, what you would suggest. I am not concerned about preserving the coloring in my hair, I just want to find something that will help it hold more moisture and prevent future split ends. Also, if you can recommend a type of brush that might work better for my long hair, that would be great, as I believe that is also a big part of my problem. Serious answers only please!

Thanks!

Hey everyone! I am 20 yrs old and am still living at home with my parents but am seriously considering moving out. I have a couple of questions that I'm hoping someone can help me with. First of all, my parents dont like the guy that i plan to move in with. If i tell them that i am moving out against their will, especially with him they will try to take my car away and also prevent my from taking my stuff out of the house. My question is if they are allowed to take my car if it is in my name? The car is fully paid off but they do pay the insurance. I am willing to start paying it on my own if i move out but i want to make sure that they cant take me to court for stealing the car anything. And secondly, can they prevent my from moving out? Should I even tell them that im moving out or should i just leave one day? Any comments and suggestions are welcome. Thank You!

I am 32 with a 15 year old son. I live in Montgomery County Maryland (WAY WAY WAY more expesive than West Palm Beach FL) and I want to move to West Palm Beach FL Jan 08. I will have about 6-10 grand when I am ready to move. My question is with me living in Maryland and wanting to move to Florida how can I look at apartments or rental homes in Florida while still livng in MD. I cant catch a plane everytime I see a home that looks like a nice rental. I was thinking of getting a vacation rental home for a month and hopefully find a place to live in that amount of time. Any suggestions?

I was burgled just over two years ago and they took my nice OLD black telly. It was an ex rental with Granada, we'd had it for years on rental and then I bought it for fifty quid and it carried on for another five or six years before being nicked and I had to replace it with one of these trendy wide screen things.

About a year ago, the picture expanded. I can't see the clock on Breakfast telly, subtitles and credits are no go areas. If there's a lighthearted side to it, you know when there's an interview going on. I can't see either of the people but I get a brilliant view of the room in the middle of them.

A couple of weeks ago, it expanded again and I can see even less of the picture. I can't see the programme information bar (on Sky) at all.

I've pressed all the buttons I can think of on the remote and sometimes it goes down to the presvious level of expansion, today, it hasn't. But I never get it to go back to normal. Any advice or do I need a new television?

My 9 1/2 month old baby started waking up again after sleeping through the night for about 3 weeks. He is pulling up and walks around in his playpen holding on. I am wondering, is this another developmental milestone because it seems alot of people have this problem at this age. The problem with my baby is that he takes forever to go to sleep and when he does go down he wakes up about an hour later standing in his crib, crying for bloody murder. We left him a couple of times to see if he would get tired and just go back to sleep. (He knows how to get back down from standing). This did not work out, we had to hold him till he was in a deep sleep and then put him back in the crib. This could take any where from 1/2 hr to 1 hr. My question is will this go on for much more and do they turn into better sleepers when they turn 1 year old???

I would like to offer my home as lease to own - it took the neighbor over 9mnths to sell their similar house and they took a big loss. Any opinions on doing this and do you think I could get someone pretty quick? Any warnings on what to put on the contract? Would a $2,500 non-refund option with $250/mnth of the rent going to towards the purchase price be okay?

I heard an interview yesterday with the author of a new book called "Blackwater". This is a group of private "soldiers" under contract with our government. They are currently in Iraq and other places around the world. Homeland security hired them to police New Orleans after Katrina. They are paid between $350 to $ 800 per day - courtesy of our Department of Defense. The leader of the corporation is a close friend of Rumsfeld and has ties to Cheney as well. U.S. soldiers serving in Iraq were interviewed for the book and they talked about how demoralizing to them these contracted "troops" are. As one said " when you are making $35,000 a year with a pregnant wife and 2 kids - it makes you wonder why you are doing the same thing these guys are doing while our government pays them six figure salaries." What do others out there think about this? I am apalled - but not surprised.
