ie, you buy - your seller buys, his seller buys, his seller buys - etc etc. there's also a downward chain, your purchaser sells to purchaser yours etc etc. Problem with big chain is if one link breaks (mortgage refused etc) the whole chain can collapse.

It means the owners are not waiting for the house they are buying to be empty this would happen if they are ie buying new, or it could be they are old and going into care or the owner is deceased.
