My daughter had a urialysis yesterday and her ketones came back as large. What does this mean? The doctor did not say much cause she was sick in other ways but i would like to know what this means. I read the sheet with the results and they where not in the column with the normal range info.

Has anyone else on Answers had a baby at home? If so, what made you choose to have your baby at home instead of in hospital? Has anyone planned a home birth but ended up giving birth in hospital? If so, why and how did you feel afterward? Anyone who has had a baby in hospital, did you consider having a home birth, and if so why did you decide against it? Anyone who planned a hospital birth all along, why did you not consider birthing at home as an option?

Also is there anyone out there who is really pro-home birth or pro-hospital birth and if so, why do you feel so strongly one way or the other?

Sorry for the multi-faceted questions, basically I'm just after all points of view.

Thanks in advance, your opinions would really help.

If I resign or I am laidoff/terminated from a previous job and reference them on my resume what are they allowed to disclose to future job prospects about my employment with them? I am located in Michigan so if anyone knows the laws here that would be helpful.

As a non beleiver, I can't see where prayer would amount to a thing, if it is not in god's plan, it isn't going to happen anyhow, and if it is in his plan the the prayer is moot as well.

Cyrus is a shep/doberman mix and has been the love of our family since we rescued him at the age of 15 months. I know it is time to make the decision to set him free from his old bones and failing systems. I also realize that I am being selfish in not being able to let him go. Please help me. He is my first and only dog and I feel like I will die without him, I have been disabled for the last few years and he has given me a reason to live. After all even if we are down in the dumps the pets still have to eat and go out. Any encouragement is welcomed, Thank you.

I do a cicuit training class for fitness, strength and keeping my weight fairly even.

In the hall before my class is Weight Watchers. They were all sat down for an hour talking about point-scoring of what they were eating.

Do you not think that if they spent the hour doing some exercise instead, they would actually burn off some of their weight?

My beagle mix had to have her anal glands expressed about 1 or 2 weeks ago. They recommended that we bring her in every month since her's were pretty backed up. However, last night she was laying with me and when I got up there was a little wet spot that smelled very foul and was the same smell that we noticed prompting us to take her into the vet. Could she really have a problem with them again since she just had them expressed? Do you think this is an issue? I have owned other dogs and never did they have this odor/seepage/anal express thing! I feel bad for her. Since it reoccured so soon do you think she has a severe problem and should I call the vet?
