This is from the AP article, 'RIAA tells students: Pay up for downloads': "The music industry is asking 50 Ohio University students to pay $3,000 each to avoid lawsuits accusing them of pirating songs off the Internet."

That sounds like a form of extortion to me (not a law student). The assumption exists that the students illegally downloaded music but that cannot be properly ascertained outside a court of law, correct? Any thoughts?

my apple ipod mini is showing a folder with a exclimation point, i was trying to add more songs to it, and now this is showing, it wont even bring up the menu anymore, anyone help me pls, i had over 100 songs and now there gone i dont know where they went or what happened. My first memory is of my 3rd birthday when I met my father for the first time, at least as far as I was concerned. He had left my mother and me when I was 3 months old to report for active duty in the U.S. Navy, and of course I didn't remember that.
