You can get the Visa at Vietnamese Embassy in Australia. But you should first check with them about the rate. As you can easily arrange a Visa On Arrival (visa at airport) with a vietnamese agent at USD 50/person in total ($25 for Visa Approval and $25 for Visa Stamp Fee).

In case you wish to get Visa On Arrival, you need to contact a travel agent in Vietnam and ask them to get the Visa Approval for you.

Upon getting the Approval, you can get the board the plane to Vietnam and arrange your visa in the airport

Happy traveling
