i'm just sad right now.... that's why I ask this kind of (silly) question.... please bear with me... my bestfriend dog died last week, feels like i missed him a lot. European-based investors in South Africa's mining industry have mounted an international arbitration against the South African Government alleging that that country's new Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) mining regime violates the terms of investment protection treaties concluded by South Africa with Italy and Luxembourg.

If they are successful in their claims which also involved putting some diplomatic pressure on the South African government since 2005 (of which we hear nothing, probably because it was hushed by the SABC at the request of the ANC) do you think this would exert enough pressure on the ruling party to alter their economical colonization plans?

i'm meant to be meeting a guy in half an hour,and he said he was really looking forward to spending time with me on the phone last night. i text him,but he hasn't text back,and i phoned him and there was no answer!He also said he would come on msn in the morning but he didn't and i have a terrible feeling he's slept in.Should i still go and wait to see if he shows up?

Well i am 18 and got spectacles when i was 16..and the number is still same ie -1.5..i dont like to wear glasses and wanna remove can i go for lasik..i tried lens but its hard for me wear them...does lasik hurt..or can cause blindness in older ages!! please answer...

My wife is sufferning from Hypo thyrodism(Low thyroid level).since last year after her misscarriage may be this was the reason for her misscarriage.Then she started taking Eltroxin 50 mg dosage/day(fasting).when we check before three month the thyroid was in control .but now she is one month pregnent and her thyroid level again gone down extremly(TSH value = 14.0).and doctor prescribed her with the same tablet as to take three tablet instead of two.can this be harmful to both baby and mother?please advise

I realise that mercenaries are, for the most part, highly trained ex-military personnel and it is commonly held that they fight and kill indiscriminately for (expectedly) large sums of money.

Logic would then dictate (although I freely admit I am a civilian with no experience of such matters) that any self-styled mercenary is, in fact, a criminal.

So if I was to join up with the Army (I am British), do my time, and, upon retirement, declare myself a 'mercenary', does that instantly make me a criminal and subect to the law? Do American/ European mercenaries tend to flee their country of origin to live beyond the reach of western justice?

PS, the above scenario is merely an illustration, I have no intention of becoming a mercenary!
