European-based investors in South Africa's mining industry have mounted an international arbitration against the South African Government alleging that that country's new Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) mining regime violates the terms of investment protection treaties concluded by South Africa with Italy and Luxembourg.

If they are successful in their claims which also involved putting some diplomatic pressure on the South African government since 2005 (of which we hear nothing, probably because it was hushed by the SABC at the request of the ANC) do you think this would exert enough pressure on the ruling party to alter their economical colonization plans?

I don't think it will cause the government to change its plans. Most of the ANC’s strategic thinking seems to originate from Mad Bob Mugabe in Harare.

The ANC government has been warned by the International Olympic Committee that the sport's team quota system is against Olympic policy. The International Labour Organisation (ILO) has stated that affirmative action policies must only be temporary. Human Rights Organisations have criticised the ANC's vote on Mynamar.

One more attack on BEE will be dismissed as racist, anti-transformation, economic colonialism, anti-African and any other epithet that Mugabe has used.

It is sad that the most competent person in the ANC cabinet: Trevor Manuel. will not become president because he is not black enough.

the great mining debate...

let's be honest here, with parties like the oppenheimers, sexwale and the likes involved, not very much will or can change in the mining industry.

south africa, as i have mentioned before runs on two things - economics and democracy.

he who controls the economics controls the way the democracy works.

besides, with the amount of government officials either directly or indirectly involved in the industry, and financially benifitting from it, do you honestly think that things will change?

the gravy train is heading full steam ahead, would you climb off it if you were living off the fat of the land?

my point is that south africa has become the stubborn little brat on the international paying field, and has got the "I WON"T!!!" attitude, when pressure from outside the borders arises concerning the way things are run.

Truthfully, I think not.

What has happened every single time some information that could be detrimental to the ANC and it's officials has surfaced - think about it?

The ANC will probably just cry racism and international ignorance toward the re- structuring of our apartheid- damaged nation again.

If certain individuals in the relevant party are privileged to enough power to keep information from reaching the South African public for their own gain and blatant vengeance, just imagine what they're really capable of doing under pressure.

it somewhat is authentic they are beginning something which they wont be waiting to end Allot of persons not basically whites dont prefer have toddlers in this u . s . they somewhat develop their toddlers some the place else in many situations this replaced into basically the white human beings in south african yet now it form of appears like further and extra different races does this as properly, could this tell the ANC something? i've got self assurance that each and every physique could get what they deserve this does not advise get a job simply by pores and skin colour this advise get the job simply by information. the only element that i will choose for now's that the persons who vote for the ANC will open their eyes to ensure that the leaders of the ANC does not care with regard to the persons who vote for them the only clarification why they are with the ANC is using the fact they be responsive to that they'll income from it, they are in it for themselves

They are slowly altering them now - relaxing a lot of BEE laws.
A lot of the mines are owned by black consortiums.
The SA government must make job creation their biggest priority. I believe that would cut the crime levels - and BEE and AA doesn't help that cause.
