I had lasik done a few years ago. My vision is great now and I never had any problems at all. I would do it again today and not think about it. It was like buying a miracle.

You're only 18 and you have your whole life ahead. I would not recommend laser surgery at your age. At this stage, although, it'swidely used there is no guarantee of success nor is it known how long it will last. There is a school of thought that says that the earlier you have it, the more often you will need it. I'm not sure how accurate that it but it remains to be disproved at this point.

Could you try and get a pair of glasses that suit you more? change the frame colour etc. I know that I cannot wear lenses either and I would rather not wear glasses but I don't want the surgery either. So I'm stuck with the glasses. There are numerous colours and styles. Maybe get a friend to go with you to help you choose one that suits you?

I would recommend talking to your optometrist to find out if Lasik is a viable option for your situation.

It is absolutely safe.

I myself had got it done and feel it was a very good decision.

Wait till age of eighteen since it is the age you will be more stable bodywise as your puberty wud b over.
