I have worked for companies both young and old and I have noticed that the policies and procedures of the older companies are more restrictive and decidedly cumbersome. I believe this is chiefly due to the fact that a company is forced to adopt new restrictions each time a problem is identified.
The longer a company is in business, the more problems they overcome in this manner. At some point, their procedures and policies become so numerous that few, if any employees know them all and begin acting and reacting to situations in the most neutral way possible to avoid a possible conflict with a policy that might be buried in there somewhere. A stronger or more decisive action that they would like to take is set aside due to a latent fear that company policy is more important than their individual achievements and contributions to the company and thus they would probably loose their position if they make the wrong move.

i asked you guys about how could you tell whether a friend is trying to ask you out, because he could just want to hang out...
but all of you said, he likes me and meant to ask me out ... (i turned him down every single time though, because i had some issues going on)

anyway, all that happened last year, and we still talk and i have invited him to go out to dinner, coffee etc with me, but it was pretty casual....
but like i really like him now, and i am not sure if he likes me anymore ... one thing though, whenever i invite him to anything, he sure does show up... even if it's last moment
but he is sort of bad at keeping touch, because he is usually very busy, so i dont blame him that much
i dont know, help me people!!

I recently bought a new case for my computer. I successfully switched all of the components over and hit the power switch on the new case, and got nothing. Afterwards, I realized that I made two mistakes. I forgot to use the riser screws that lift the motherboard up from the surface of the case, and I had used a power screwdriver that had magnetized bits. Did I just damage my motherboard?

If the world is unjust and we are only here for a short time being, and our only concern is to survive, why do I have feelings for others that I do not know? Why do I feel pain for people and want to help when they are in the time of need?

Humans are just another form of animals and animals have no such thing a moral or ethics, which is man made. So is this the human condition, the feeling of compassion for others, or is this just a social condition that was society programming for the greater good of mankind? Had a pretty heated debate about this today lol. I don't think it is, but the people I was arguing with say that it equals 1 because 2/3=.666 repeating and 1/3=.333 repeating and 2/3+1/3=1. So, what do you think?
