A man once set up a hunting camp from which to go bear hunting. Leaving his camp, he walked 10 miles due south, then 10 miles due west. At this point he found and shot a bear. Then he dragged the bear back to camp, a distance of exactly 10 miles. What color was the bear and how do u know?

HELP:
Its not red because of blood
Its not brown because of the mud
It not pink because it was skinned

If you need more explanation let me know.

Thanks a bunch!!!!

you could only do this 10mile "right angle" triangle on each side if it extended over the polar cap of the earth. therefore, its a polar bear - WHITE.

its a polar bear, cause you can create an equilateral triangle at the poles with 10 miles due south and west. Right?

it's not mathematically possible for him to have only dragged the bear 10 miles. it would have had to been farther to get all the way back to the camp.

I asked my bear and he said how do you tell a brown bear from a grizzly bear?

Climb a tree. If the bear climbs it and eats you, it's a brown bear.

If the bear knocks the tree down and eats you, it's a grizzly.

its impossible to find the solution because you said only distance and nothing about colour. But by guessing it could be white because a bear cant be of any other colour except what you have mentioned
