There was a consensus that the Earth was flat and that the Sun circled the Earthat one time!

I enjoy studying astronomy and I know for damn sure the Earth is round, and the Earth circles the Sun!

I refuse to let the new true believers set us back hundreds of years!

We are hosting HBO PPV fight night at our house next sat and I need to come up with something to serve I rather not do a whole lotta cooking I prefer semi-homemade stuff but nothing too messy or nothing that needs to stay really hot to taste good. We will be feeding men, women and some kids so we need something substantial not just finger foods ect.

Suppose you are arguing with your buddy over a statement he made. You'd ask him to back up his argument with factual evidence. In the end, however, his arguments amount to "it's so because I say it's so."

Would you accept this as proof that he's right?

Why then, would you accept the Bible's assertion that the Christian god is Lord and Creator? Doesn't it use the exact same rationale?
