Did your dog suffer any trauma? if it is trauma then he could possibly be persuaded with something irrisistable...
Try feeding him some raw eggs mixed with some plain non-fat yogurt.. if he refuses this then....
To the Vet ASAP - I mean like *yesterday*...
GOOD LUCK

Take your dog to the vet he may have some kind of obstruction. It's life threatening if your dog doesn't eat and it's life threatening if there is an obstruction, constipation, or twisted bowels.
If there is nothing wrong and your dog is sick of his food make sure you're feeding him a premium dog food. No by products (head, feet, feathers, etc) and no corn (it's really hard to digest). - Nutro guarantees their food that the dog will love it or your money back.
Which ever food you choose just make sure it's an all natural brand. No canned food because it get stuck in the teeth and causes rot and decay.
Feed your dog on a schedule. Put the food down for 10-15 mintues then pick the food back up till the next feeding.
Put some water on the food and put it into the microwave It brings out the aroma and makes it more allurings. Or you can try chicken or beef broth (they are all natural).

You don't say how old your dog is. But none the less, the fact that your dog did not eat for 5 days, indicates a very serious probably.
He could end up dying.
His body could go into shock at anytime. And you cannot replace that. It only means death for him.
Please don't hesitate in taking him.
And if you can't afford it, just take him and leave him with the vet. At least he will get medical attention.

If he hasn't eaten in 5 days, you need to get him to the vet because something is wrong. Animals don't typically just stop eating for no reason.

Your dog should have gone to the vet 3 days ago. Turn off the computer and call your vet ASAP. We can't diagnose your dog over the computer - you need a vet to examine him.

I don't know if your in the city or country, but dogs that have digestive problems will eat fresh grass. they will kinda graze like a cow. I don't no why but I grew up with dogs in the country and have observed this for years. look up http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfmcls?=2&cat=1547&articlied=1139

Sounds like a trip to the vet is in order.
You can try adding some beef or chicken broth to his food.

5 days is too long... vet time I believe.
If you see this happen again, exercise for the dog may be in order.
