I have a friend who is younger than I am by like two years. Every single weekend or whenever I am with her, she always asks me to spend the night with her. I never want to because her family smokes like crazy!! So, I end up making excses and lying to her about why I cant. I am so sick of telling her so many excuses about not staying. But I dont wanna hurt her feelings if I do tell her the truth, because it's not her fault that I dont wanna stay over it's just everytime when I come home from her house, I have to take like 12 showers just to get the smell out. I know it may sound crazy but it's the truth. And I feel so horrible and guilty when I tell her excuses. I am the only friend that she has that ever does stuff with her like hang out. That's why I feel so horrible. I still wanna be friends with her. but what should I do about this situation? PLEASE HELP

Trying to learn French on my own through those self-teaching softwares and Internet sources since my new brother-in-law is Algerian-French. So far, my guess about "du" is it applies to things/objects; I heard "soupe du jour", "produit du Canada", "Cafe du Monde" (a restaurant in New Orleans), etc... I just cleaned out my fish tank and the filter. when I plugged the filter back in it wont come on. Im hoping it will come back. can you tell me what I may have did? What can I do to maybe fix it.

I didnt get it wet or anything just cleaned the filters and put them back in and thats all.

Sometimes It does this and I can shake the pipe that brings the water in and it comes back on. No luck this time.
