i had to have one for medical reasons. I had one at 21 weeks. my water broke at like 17 weeks and wouldn't stop leaking. baby had no more fluid, and although still alive, I had to terminate because i was already going into labor and risk for infection for being with water broken for so long.
but i just saw a video saing "oh if u have an abortion, the stuff they use to dialate the cervix (i'm thinking the laminaria), will weaken it, and that muscle is not like a muscle u can work out where u can get it stronger, but it will always remain weaker etc).

i was just wondering if it's true and if i can still have a baby, and if anyone ever had a baby after such a late abortion

I miscarried around January 27th.. Went to the doctor on Feb. 21--. cycle should've came around Feb. 23rd and it still hasnt happened... my HCG levels were at 0 so im not pregnant.. ive had protected sex since then.

just seems to be taking too long to get back, in cycle..

any advice or personal stories?

My friend and i had sex on th night of 19th Feb. She was supposed to have her periods on th 4th of March. She had th previous one on th 2nd of Feb. She has never missed a period in th last 7-8 yrs. It has been very regular and spontaneous. But this time it hasn't happened. She was overtly worried ( so was i) all these days. Though we had sex i dint have orgasm inside. She however said tht she felt a warmth inside. that's th root of all these worries. Added to tht is th fact tht it was the best time to conceive. and today is the 7th of the month. She's still not had her period. Can extreme worry cause a delay or is she actually pregnant. She hasn't got any cramps so far, which is a regular feature before her periods. Neither has her breasts increased in size which happens prior to her periods (according to her.) Is there any way to make sure. She and i are so so worried.

I had a miscarriage and subsequent D & C after 10 weeks of pregnancy. Since that time I feel very sad, like a complete failure as a woman, wife, and mom to my 1 year old. I have negative thoughts about my uterus, I feel like it's a polluted, barren wasteland. I'm upset with myself because I feel my body failed me and my child. I'm somewhat of a perfectionist so that probably plays into this as well.

To some degree I'm taking it out on my husband, being withdrawn and not wanting to talk to him. He's a very loving person and deserves more than what I can offer right now (affection and another child). I'm hating myself for having waited this long to try for a second baby (I'm 38) and recently started feeling like leaving my husband so that he can marry someone younger (he's 33) and have more children with someone else. When will these feelings pass?

I took my little brother to the park one evening. The sun had just went down and it was pretty dark, but he wanted to stay anyway. I told him that he could do one thing and then we had to go home. He said he wanted to go on the big slide but wanted me to go with him, so we climbed up to the top. We were about to slide down when all of a sudden a spotlight is on us and I here a whistle. A policeman runs to us.
"What's the problem, officer?" I asked, wondering what I did wrong.
"Are you aware of the curfew for the city parks? No one can come in after dark."
"I'm sorry, officer, I wasn't aware," I told him honestly. "My brother just wanted to do this one time."
The officer looked me up and down and finally said, "Well... I'll let you slide this time, but don't let it happen again."
