Tummy tuck surgery is very safe nowadays. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges Tummy tuck, Liposuction surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Fly2india4health Consultants. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. I have also read that they arrange financing for international patients, as all surgery is not covered by insurance or by the stinking NHS.
They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor I personally believe that your Tummy tuck, Liposuction surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of Healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
My cousin got her Tummy tuck, Liposuction surgery done there and she is more than very happy with the results. She is all praise for Fly2india4health Consultants. She paid just 20% of the cost what she was quoted in USA and it was like a wonderful vacation for her. Hope this helps

From personal experience, regular tummy-strengthening exercises (sit-ups, crunches, ab-flex, whatever) are the only thing that will target that "pooch". It needs good muscle tone in the deepest muscle bands, to support the ones on top that are so stretched-out and saggy.
I'm right there with ya, though. After six babies, although I'm not really overweight, I have a horrid tummy pooch. It's been better at some times than at others, but right now I really need to get my butt in gear and get back to doing those exercises. I look 4-5 months pregnant when my period rolls around. :(
Best of luck!

how long ago did you have your baby? If very recently (or maybe even if not) try massaging that area and take the skin and fat and really squeeze massage whatever. I was told to do this when i had my son and it worked! (also my cousin, who is extremely overweight actually i think morbidly obese like 450 or more, well his doctor told him to do this to his arms and stomach and stuff when he had him on a diet - he said it helped to tighten the skin and move everything around to get rid of it easier or something) Okay also combine this with healthy eating and drink what 8 glasses of water a day (this will cut down on snacking in it's self) other than water drink a few glass of 100% no sugar added cranberry pomegranate juice (yum and good for you) and 1% or skim milk. combined with exercise like pilates- (I love pick your level it has 3 people all doing a different degree of difficulty at the same time so each session and exercise is unique to what you can do- Also really good because pilates is about breathing, balance, and using your core these are things important after having a baby) and maybe a denise austin tape (my mom swears by her and she is in excellent shape) get up and move, don't stay around the house all day go do something running or jogging, walking, swimming, also i am starting a new diet where i am going to not eat red meat and double my fruits and veges Good Luck and I'm working on losing mine from baby #2 so i'm with you (it's not as easy this time)

After having my twins, I lost all of my weight and looked very trim everywhere, except I still have the saggyness in my abdomen...not so much fat, just skin that didn't really bounce back. After we are through having children, I will be getting a tummy tuck, which is really the only way to "fix" the problem. Diet and exercise will take care of the extra fat, but not the stretched skin, unfortunately! Good Luck.

when someone finds a solution to this without surgery can they let me know? I have had three kids, and my tummy has the saggy apron as it is known. I have got to a point where i give up, cos i just don't have time or energy with three kids in the house. Maybe in a few years when they are all at school eh?

Exercise can only so so much. If you were bigger before you got pregnant, and whilst you were pregnant, chances are you wont ever get a flat tum being a size 12 unless you do have a tummy tuck.

I had a tummy tuck. The plastic surgeon said that you can do abdomnial crunches all day long and you will never rebuild the muscles that run horizontally accross your abdomen. You can only tighten the vertical ones.

I'm about the same size with the same problem. I haven't given up yet, though, because I haven't had the energy to really exercise or diet. I'm going to wait a few years and see what I can manage before resorting to that. (My baby is only 8 months old)
