My friend and i had sex on th night of 19th Feb. She was supposed to have her periods on th 4th of March. She had th previous one on th 2nd of Feb. She has never missed a period in th last 7-8 yrs. It has been very regular and spontaneous. But this time it hasn't happened. She was overtly worried ( so was i) all these days. Though we had sex i dint have orgasm inside. She however said tht she felt a warmth inside. that's th root of all these worries. Added to tht is th fact tht it was the best time to conceive. and today is the 7th of the month. She's still not had her period. Can extreme worry cause a delay or is she actually pregnant. She hasn't got any cramps so far, which is a regular feature before her periods. Neither has her breasts increased in size which happens prior to her periods (according to her.) Is there any way to make sure. She and i are so so worried.

She probably is. Has she had any signs to indicate she is? I found out I was pregnant a little over a week ago, but then the very next day I had painfully miscarried which is quite common during the first 12 weeks as I was only 5 weeks. I knew there was a possibility I was pregnant because I had been feeling a little sick (morning sickness) and was slightly aware of the changes in my body. Feeling tired easily. I was needing to pee more and more often through out the day - and above all people were commenting on how rough I was looking (Thanks people!) My periods were always regular, but I was late. Just because you didn't ejaculate inside her doesn't mean there wasn't some pre-come oozing from your 'japs eye'

So it's pretty possible. The only thing she can do is take a test to confirm and then make an appointment with the Dr, to see about her choices and what she wants to do.

If you don't want to get your head wet, wear a rainmac ;)

I wish you both luck in whatever you choose to do.

Seriously it is probably too early to find out with a test, being nervous will make it later and later. Even if you didn't have an orgasm inside, there is sperm in precum, which you can't stop from coming out. If she doesn't have it by the weekend, take her to the drug store on Saturday buy a test with 2 or 3 in the pack, and FIRST thing Sunday morning pee on a stick. Taking a test late in the day rather than first thing in the morning will be less accurate your body produces a hormone when your pregnant and it is a small amount during the beginning stages, so at night it builds up in the body and you would have a better chance of a real negative instead of a false negative. Since if she is pregnant, she is less than 1 month, it would be best for both your stress to do it first thing in the morning. I say wait till Sunday because she realistically could be late due to stress. If it comes up negative and she doesn't get it within a day or two later, use another test. Repeat this till she either gets it or you find she is pregnant. Happy mom of 3 so I speak from experience, I knew 2 days after we conceived our 3rd child that I was pregnant, but the test wouldn't show it until I was almost a month along. Good luck, hope everything turns out the way you want it to.

She could be pregnant, but she could also be stressed. Stressing can cause a period to be late. I would just wait a few more days, however, they have very good pregnancy tests now that can detect pregnancy by the 1st missed day of her period. When a woman is pregnant, she begins to produce the pregnancy hormone and this is what the test picks up on. Wouldn't hurt, go buy one! Good luck!

Well if she is already late, take a test that is the only way to find out for sure. But yes, stress can cause a delayed period.

Worrying can cause a delay in a period. But honestly from everything you posted about it, she seems pregnant to me. Only a test can say for sure. So she needs to get a test.

she needs to take a pregnancy test to be sure - the stress could in fact delay her period and make her late - but take the test now so you can know for sure and start discussing the future of the pregnancy and what your options are before it is too late..

Have her take a pregnancy test. Stress can cause problems and might be making her late. Relax, worrying isn't going to help anything.

try to calm down. stress is the root of all evil. take a hpt. it will accurately reveal the answer to the question haunting you at this very minute.

stress can lead to late and/or missed periods. dont jump the gun and automatically assume that she is preggers because she is late by 3 days.

but dont block that possibility completely.

good luck with everything.

did she remember this was leap year did she count her days correctly? I'd wait a couple of weeks and then I'll check, but right now don't worry because it could only be stress or the fact that she is a few days off with calculations
