I already listen to artists like the Beatles; a little bit of the Rolling Stones; Gorillaz, Blur, and The Good, The Bad, & The Queen (basically anything Damon Albarn does); Above & Beyond; Shape: UK (formally known as Shapeshifters); and Deepest Blue, to give you an idea of what I already like.
I'd really appreciate some suggestions; I like almost any genre, but I'd be really interested in listening to some more British electronic/dance artists.

How about Radiohead, they are really good. You might appreciate the very noticeable Beatles influence on Oasis. Coldplay is another British band is very popular, they are to mellow for me, but they do have some catchy songs. You should deffinetly listen to Led Zeppelin, they one of the greatest bands ever. Very hard and very melodic. If you can listen to their Physical Graffity double album. The Who are also british, and are considered by some to the first punk band. Who's Next is a great album. David Bowie is a great artist that has done rock, electronic, and dance stuff. He is the only artist that I know this type of genre, since that's not my type of music.

for electronic I'd recommend boards of canada and plaid
dance - basement jaxx, leftfield, chemical brothers
try athlete's vehicles and animals too - excellent
