I live abroad and I used to do voice chat with my family back home. At first they had dial up connection and I had DSL. The voice chat was ok but with some delay but it was understandable. Now they installed DSL also but since then I am not able todo voice chatting with them. They can hear me very well but I cant hear a word of what they are saying. I have tried msn messenger, yahoo messenger, skype...all the same problem.

what can be dont to solve this problem?

I'm trying to finish the edges of a piece of fabric - turned it under, pinned it in place - but when I run the sewing machine over it to sew it down, I get very loose loops on the bottom side. It looks normal on top, and then I turn it over and it's just ugly. I've tried it twice now and gotten the same results. Oddly, when I did the short sides of the fabric, I had no problems. The long sides are making me crazy.

I'm going relatively slowly, since it's been years since I used a sewing machine and I want to keep my lines straight. Would this have anything to do with it?

Thanks!

My sister asked for a raise because she was not able to keep up her expenses and knowing the male co-workers getting more pay for the same job. With less experience and time on the job. The employer asked if she was married. He put it this way....aren't you married? She is not, but was horrified by the question. Does she have any legal rights with this question being asked? She got the raise but feels humiliated by being questioned this way.

My wife suffers from extreme anxiety when flying. One thing that helps is flying with our dog. This can be an troublesome and expensive addition to the travel arrangements (United charges $85 for a small dog each way). We've recently heard that your dog can be considered a companion animal and you don't have to pay the fee and you are allowed to take it out of the carrier and hold it while in flight. Is this an urban legend or is this true? It would definitely make our weekend travel plans more tolerable if it is. Does anyone know if we need a doctor's note or something for this privilage?
