My gf & I are both mid-20's college undergrads and we've been to gether for over a year. We've had our share of ups and downs thru out the relationship and we are best friends who became lovers. We've talked of a possible future together and have goals of grad & medical school. Recently, my gf came down w/ extreme anxiety to the point in which she had to take leave from work, withdraw from school and abruptly head back to her hometown b/c she felt lost and uncertain. At the moment, she also helps manage a family business, not doing well in her courses, waiting for responses from pharmacy school, fighting w/ her ex bf and feeling as if she can no longer have the mental strength to go on anymore. For me, I've always taken care of her but now she is 300 miles away from me (living at her ex's), and on the phone, she sounds confused about everything and she wants to put our relationship on hold but yet have a future. For me, I now feel depressed, mad, unfocused & lost...what am i to do?

I have two VERY RARE neuro-vascular disorders, leaving me disabled. My husband is the only one working (obviously), so money is incredibly tight. In fact, my prescriptions (16 of them a month!!) adds up to $1395.00!! Not to mention all the OTHER bills! I am desperate for some guidance...we seriously need help! (And yes, I DO have Health Insurance, but it is not a very good one due to having several "pre-existing" conditions, and the prescription part of it is a JOKE! I do NOT qualify for most of the "prescription assistance" programs BECAUSE I have insurance with prescription coverage (despite the fact the coverage SUCKS!).
I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY need help...PLEASE shoot me a note if you have any suggestions!!

was it me or did she just seem lazy? she wants all the help to come to her without her having to lift a finger, and when she get's no help she said that's why she sits and eats...Dr hilary was right when he said she needs to turn her life around, she needs to get the help and not expect the help to come to her. and her hubby should take some drastic action and start giving her salads for dinner, it's not as if she can get to the fridge herself. i understand he loves her but he is killing her. these two just looked so pathetic on TV. lazy cow.

Just wanting to know what i should work on for a hike. We will over 5 days be walking for 4 hours or so a day carrying backpacks with 5 days supply of food, tents, clothes, shoes etc (heavy). Should i do lots of workouts like running and jogging (stamina) or should i focus on weights (strength) to get me ready for the trip? Thanks.
