Hi there! I don't usually run but have recently decided to try to make an effort for fitness. I walk 40 mins, 5 days a week, but running has never been my thing.
I can do it for only a few minutes, then I suddenly have sharp chest pains like I'm having a heart attack (I assume - I've never had one!) and can't breathe properly. It's not that I get tired out or am unfit, it's like my heart gives up. It takes a few mintues of rest to pass, then for about 30mins after I'm wheezing and have almost a chesty cough.
Has anyone had a problem like this? Should I see a doctor about the chest pains, or should I just keep trying if it's only a fitness issue?
