Trust me, it'll keep you busy for days...maybe even months.
However it requires a beefy computer for nice framerates.
Alternatively, if you want the same amount of gameplay for less cash, and less system requirements, I'd go with The Elder Scrolls Morrowind.
It is just as good.

I like to say "ESO is what Neverwinter Nights wants to be when it grows up." So, if you like games like Morrowind, Knights of the Old Republic, Neverwinter Nights, Baulder's Gate, etc., you will thoroughly enjoy Elder Scrolls Oblivion.
Some have said they think it's boring, but perhaps they haven't figured out how to "fast travel," an option not available in Morrowind. There is a *lot* to do, so perhaps "overwhelmed" might be a better word for someone who is "bored" of the game. Like I said, there's a lot to do--scads of side-quests and the game's storyline is very open.
If you're still hesitant, go and rent it.

Oblivion is worth the money. It has great depth (even when not questing, I'm still wandering around whacking the crap out of random bandits for fun). The graphics are amazing, and the characters feel alive due to the Radiant AI. It's almost like another world, but I will say that it does take a high-end computer to play. Now, if only the Staff of Worms lasted longer than thirty seconds...

Elder Scrolls Oblivion is like a freakin drug. You just keep coming back for more. It is the best game I have ever played on the PC. I can't separate myself from it. Defiantly buy it, it's not that expensive.

I really dont know youre taste of games, but this game was pretty boring after like 4 days for me... took my bro like 2 weeks untill he thought it never got anywhere and was boring...
