The Easter bunny is actually a Norse myth of how a god changed a bird into a rabbit. The other is a myth about the god, Eastre, and how the Norse celebration came to be. Sorry the bunny is fake.

If a rabbit is born on Easter week, then it is an Easter bunny. Otherwise, NOT genuine.
