Try soaking in a nice warm bath with some drops of oil in. That certainly speeded up my labour. Only 3 hours to get throught he first stage!
Otherwise use it in a burner, or if that is too overpowering, put a few drops on a tissue to smell when you feel like it. Or you can put in in a carrier oil like almond or olive oil, just a few drops to 100mls to use as a massage oil.
Best of luck!

Yes, it can be very powerful in that way; but less is more, if you know what I mean. Use a few drops in a warm bath twice a day. Also try drinking raspberry leaf tea three or four times a day; it won't bring on labour, but it will help the uterus have smooth, efficient contractions when you start. I really believe it helped shorten my last labour.

Hi,
A little word of warning about clary sage oil. It is very relaxing and has good benefits...BUT NEVER, NEVER use it if you have consumed alcohol, or intend to. If you do you can suffer from hallucinations and extremely vivid (and sometimes not very pleasant) dreams.
Used as recommendd there should be no problems and it is largely free of any adverse side effects (except for the alcohol)
Otherwise, good luck with using it,
BobSpain

I just want to say: Heed BobSpain's warning!! This is very true, Clarysage is one of the most potent and potentially dangerous essential oils. (My mum is an aromatherapist)
There are other ways to bring on labour which are safer for you and your baby, orgasm is one natural effective way, or go for a good bumpy drive in the country!!
Good luck, hope all goes smoothly!

Put a few drops of it in your bath and relax. many people say it brings on labour, but if not, you're having a lovely long soak!

This is only a wives tale...we honestly have different thoughts to what brings on labor..exercising, sex..who really knows..No one really knows the answer to this.
