I'm in 8th grade and I take advanced math, I missed a few days of school last week and I don't understand these new equasion things, can anyone try to explain it to me. I need to solve the equasion to find #x, # by itself and #y. Then I have to graph it.
Slope= # in front of x
y intercept= # by itself
Here's one of the problems:

I have a neutered male cat that is 9 years old. He never "sprays" in the house, until I got my kittens. They are 6 months old (male and female) and I just had them spayed and neutered. My older cat (Rox), plays with and gets along with them, but has suddenly started "marking" his territory again by spraying in the house, especially my daughter's bedroom. Will he stop this once the kittens have been around a little longer? (I've had them 3 months).
He is even protective of them outside, so why is he feeling jealous and spraying! I really don't want to punish him, he is the "alpha" cat of the house, but what should I do?

My aunt said she saw a policeman without his seat belt on and my brother in law (who knows everything *rolls eyes*) said that no state, county, or city police officer or emergency worker has to wear a seat belt while on duty in the government issued vehicle because they have to "jump out of the cars so quickly". I have never heard of this and think he is a moron...does anyone have any ideas or thoughts on this?

When I started watching season 3 of LOST it began saying, "Last time on LOST"....and showed an episode that I haven't seen. It seems every Wednesday they show the last episode that I've never seen? Has LOST been on Thursdays too? The LOST website says there's already been 7 episodes. I've only seen three! Someone help!

I want a horse that can do trails, Barrells, and tons of other western stuff!! I know of Quarter Horses, and Paints. I was thinking along the lines of a palimino also are Holsteins good for western or English???? I have a desktop computer and my daughter has a wireless laptop computer. We have never had any trouble until today, when her wireless just will not connect at all. We made no changes on anything. It's been working fine for months with not a days down time. Can anyone tell me in 'layman's' terms what might be wrong, and how I can go about fixing it. She uses her computer for school daily, so we really need to get her back up and running. Thanks!

I am still a kid, but am trying to look ahead. I was cosidering a career in applied mathematics because I love to be challenged by math and would like to figure out ways to use math problems in ways they were never intended to. Does anyone have any information about a career in that field? Does it pay well? How many years of collage for a major of phd? Where could I work?
