When I thinking about Islam I think of God as a harsh task master. The threat of hell fire is always above my head? When I read the Koran i feel no comfort only coldness, I cannot be friends with Jews or Christians it says. In contrast the New testament i found to be full of forgiveness, plentiful in understadning iof what human beings are - the idea of forgiveness, just for being willing to be good was a great feeling. I want to be a good man - and I feel that the best man who ever lived was Jesus'. No where in Islam can you find Love your neighbour as yourself - and who is your neighbour, your enemy, those who persecute you - that is why i still love Muslims - i just find no comfort in the religion.

But was i right? i have my doubts? i have always been told i would be thrown into hell fire if i left - and although those are the ideas i am trying to get away from - the notion still lingers with me. Am i right to have done this?

i'm pregnant about 14 weeks, i have suffered from depression in the past and i'm finding it really hard to cope. i know that there is anti depressants out there that are safe to use during pregnancy but i have been on them many times throughout my life and i don't want to feel like i'm being controlled by them. i know that excercise is a good way to deal with depression but i don't want to push myself too hard and put the baby at risk. please can you give me some advice or some alternatives to combat this depression.
i have suffered with depression throughout my life but i don't know whether it's because of my hormones as well as depression but i have never in my life felt this low and worthless
p.s. i know that this is in the wrong category but you get more answers this way

My brother in law just got a new tattoo, and the tat seems to be scabbing up fine, but the scab seems to be drawing out the ink. He has had the tat touched up by a different tattoo artist, thinking maybe it was the person whom did it, but the second one has done the same thing. Is there any reason for this?

so I've had a cold for a few days.....my throat seems to be getting worse, and to make matters worse I woke up here at 4am with my ear aching (and feeling plugged as well). is there any remedies for ear aches WITHOUT going to the dr. and can anyone suggest something for my throat??!? I gargled salt water...not much of a difference, I've taken liquid tylenol....nothing......... please help!

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

AND

LUKE 17: 20 - 21 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Clearly these verses contradict themself so which one is true and which one is a lie? Remember Jesus said BOTH!
